A design icon among conference table microphones
Meeting Microphone LFH9172/00
The Philips table microphone with boundary layer technology is used for recording conferences. The disc-shaped base provides the ideal guide surface for sound from table surfaces to the microphone. The rubber coating of the plate minimises disturbing reflections and allows the microphone to sit firmly and vibration-free even on smooth surfaces.
Thanks to the discreet integration of a cable winder under the plate, the cable can be stowed away tangle-free for transport. When microphones are arranged in rows, the cable sections are kept taut by winding or unwinding them accordingly, thus ensuring a tidy appearance on the table surface.

"While the design of other CRS components had to be constantly adapted, the original design of the LFH9172/00 Meeting Microphone has remained successful on the market for over a decade."

Consistent design for lasting market success
The most impressive fact about the Philips Boundary Layer Microphone, however, is that it has been on the market for more than 15 years exactly as it was originally designed. It continues to extend the functionality of all Philips Dictation products as well as the Philips Tracer with perfect conference recordings. The iconic design with perfect functionality has therefore been able to position itself as a real long-term sales success in an otherwise very fast-moving market.
